Sage Causie is a Los Angeles-based photographer, creative director, and visual storyteller known for blending fine art with cultural narratives. Their work explores themes of identity, romance, and Black excellence, often reimagining historical depictions with a modern lens.
Sage has received multiple prestigious grants, including the Andy Warhol Foundation Grant, the Nikon Artist Grant, and the Broward Artist Support Grant, recognizing their commitment to innovative storytelling through photography. Their acclaimed photo series, The Royal Painting, reimagined 16th-century portraits by placing Black women in spaces historically absent of diversity, earning widespread recognition.
Beyond their photographic work, Sage curates immersive art exhibitions and educational content aimed at empowering other creatives. With a strong vision for merging storytelling and commerce, they are currently developing FotoPaid, a photography payment platform, and launching Photos to Products, an ebook guiding artists on monetizing their work.
