Godox retro flash

I recently added the Godox Retro flash to my gear collection, prompted by my increasing involvement in intimate events for a membership club. Until now, I've typically rented flashes for these occasions, as I didn't see the need to invest in one permanently.

However, my perspective has shifted as I find myself increasingly drawn to capturing intimate events, particularly with clients who like my event style.

Beyond events, I've come to appreciate the versatility of flash in photoshoots. Observing other photographers seamlessly integrate flash into their work, I've been inspired by the edgy, high-fashion aesthetic it can impart. I aim for my own photography to adopt this style, even in casual candid shots with friends, where a well-executed flash can evoke a nostalgic polaroid vibe.

After some research, I settled on the Godox Retro Style Flash Lux, priced around $70-$80. Admittedly, flash photography has been a challenge for me, with frustrations coming from navigating exposure issues and technical glitches.

Despite the learning curve, I've already done two photoshoots and an event with the flash, and I'm loving the results. Any hiccups have been attributed to user error, reinforcing the need for further experimentation and practice.

Excited to push my boundaries, I plan to take the flash on my upcoming trip, the goal is to master the settings. Stay tuned for updates on my flash photography adventures!
